Jupiter Junkworks is a unique mix of arcade puzzle game and factory builder, set in a sci fi narrative campaign.
Explore a far future sci-fi setting among the moons of Jupiter in our narrative campaign mode. Here you'll follow a trio of unlikely companions from different corners of the solar system as they learn to overcome their differences and confront their own personal challenges. Through some unlucky mishaps, they've been left broke and owning a ruined spaceship reclamation center, Jupiter Junkworks. But if they put their skills together, maybe they can make something of it? You'll help to decide their future!
In the arcade puzzle segments you will crush, compress and manipulate blocks as you rush to achieve objectives in time! You'll need to balance and prioritize row clearing and color matching mechanics to win as you progress through increasingly harder contracts (missions). Lots of new challenges await as more unique objectives, mechanics and game modes are introduced! Jupiter Junkworks features a number of fun arcade puzzle mechanics that will have you constantly finding new ways to setup combos and reinventing your playstyle.
COMPRESS!Slamming blocks is the core mechanic of Jupiter Junkwork's arcade puzzle segments. Slamming down a block will let you shear off parts of already placed blocks or compress gaps below others. This is key to the gameplay in Jupiter Junkworks and will be something you need to master to get far! It's also how you regenerate your powerups, so get slamming!
COLLECT!Match colored bits to collect them as resources and cause blocks to tumble down! These will be the main objective on many of the challenges so it's something you need to prioritize over filling rows. They're also one of the resources you'll use in the campaign mode, so going beyond your contract objectives will give you some left overs to spend!
CRUSH!Choose from a selection of powerups and consumables to help on your contracts. One of the first you'll get access to is the rail driver, that'll let you compress everything in a block sized column. Create a unique build to suit your playstyle and take on any challenge!
Rebuild Jupiter Junkworks! This part of the game is still in heavy development! But look forward to a blend of aspects from factory building / automation games and idle clickers. Progressing your factory will be tied directly into the narrative and arcade gameplay, creating a seamless experience. You'll manage resources, build conveyor and drone automation systems and interact with the cast members to earn resources and unlock new clients and challenges.
In the narrative campaign you'll join Ryla, Grant and Jun as they come together to try and make the most of their situation at Jupiter Junkworks. Coming from backgrounds ranging from a Mars orbital workyard, the megacities of Earth and a commercial pilot training fleet, they'll have their work cut out to overcome their differences and work together. On top of that they all have their own motives for why they're on the move and why Jupiter Junkworks could even begin to sound like a good opportunity. There might be a BIT more of a story behind why the previous owner left in such a hurry too..
