Bump in the Night is a single-player horror game where you are tasked with investigating paranormal phenomenon in a haunted location, featuring 8 unique entity types and a multitude of different scares.Lead the Investigation Command the mission from a room your team has setup as a base of operations in the location, delegating tasks and orders to your NPC investigators. Entities have distinct personalities. The Trasgo likes to throw objects more than other ghosts. Ectophages like to mess with electronics. Shadows, unsurprisingly, like the darkness. Each of the other entities have their own likes, dislikes, and quirks as well.
Finally, each entity has a unique ability or behavior that typically comes out later in a mission. You'll need to figure out for yourself what abilities each entity type has...With these three layers of entity behavior, clever players will be able to figure out what entity they're faced with - even if no direct evidence presents itself.Stay AliveA common staple of the paranormal investigation genre is the "hunt" where an entity, ghost, or monster builds up to an active state where it becomes actually dangerous.
The entities in BITN can indeed enter such a state, but don't think that you are safe outside of those times - far from it. Keep aware, keep vigilant, because death can come for you and the investigators under your command in unexpected ways. Remember, you're in the entity's territory for the entire duration of your mission.Meet Bob and SusanBob and Susan are at your beck and call! Order them around all you want. Toss them equipment, tell them to place it in various rooms, send them to investigate a particular area. They can wander around and investigate on their own, but ordering them to areas where you suspect the entity to be is likely to give better results.
And you can trust them. Right? Sure.Chat Integrations GaloreTwitch integrations are all the rage these days, and BITN is no different! Let your viewers take command of Bob and Susan, giving them orders with chat commands.
Not a streamer? No problem! You can enable your Steam friends to control Bob and Susan via Steam chat messages, if you so desire.
