Train kept-a-rollin’ to come and gobble me up – Choo-Choo Charles Quick Review

Train kept-a-rollin’ to come and gobble me up – Choo-Choo Charles Quick Review

Choo-Choo Charles is like The Rocky Horror Picture Show of video games in that it doesn’t take itself seriously in any way, but there’s a fun game at its core with simple, yet effective, mechanics. It may not be the most refined title out there, but solo game developer Two Star Games continues its trend of creating artistic, atmospheric horror games with this quirky train-based title that barrels down the tracks full steam ahead.
TIME PLAYED
I played Choo-Choo Charles for three and a half hours, and could have (and would have) kept playing if I didn’t have to stop to write this review.

WHAT’S AWESOME
It reminds me of both Resident Evil and Skyrim in certain ways. Yes, you read that right... and those are two of my favorite games, so I wouldn’t haul out those comparisons just because. Choo-Choo Charles reminds me of the Resident Evil games that have an unstoppable juggernaut chasing you, because Charles is just that. It reminds of Skyrim because, well, just put Charles, the killer train, in the place of various dragons in a (much smaller) open world and you’ll get where I’m going with that comparison.
Immediate restarts/respawns. I always appreciate when games do this because I feel the developers aren’t artificially wasting my time. When you die in Choo-Choo Charles, you start back on your train exactly where it was, and you only lose a bit of your resources. That works totally for me.

I can paint my train purple. So I did. Sing it with me now, “Purple train...purple traaaaain!”
WHAT SUCKS
A bit glitchy. Choo-Choo Charles definitely lacks polish. For example, at one point when I was battling Charles with the gun mounted on the back of my train, he glitched out while chasing me, and ended up getting stuck on the roof of a large house. This was rather amusing at first, but then the game crashed because I guess it just couldn’t handle the fact that Charles was now stuck on the top of some house and, therefore, couldn’t eviscerate me.
The world map is fairly small. As I was chugging down the tracks for a while, the thought popped into my head, “Hey, I wonder how long it goes on the like this?” And my query was soon answered, as I saw the house of an NPC that I checked out about fifteen minutes previous. So, yes, the tracks form one big loop around the island.

No way to fight Charles on foot. I could only run for my pathetic life when Charles caught me off of my train...and he always seemed to catch me. Always.
SHOULD YOU PLAY IT?
Yes, definitely. Play Choo-Choo Charles because it is perfect counterprogramming to the plethora of “AAA” titles that are typically released before the holidays. It’s got “cult classic” written all over it. On top of that, it’s just a nerve-jangling good time to play, with gameplay mechanics that lean heavily on two classic games that I personally adore. Give it a go. Seriously.

Choo Choo OMG WHAT IS THAT!? Choo Choo Charles Review
Today we are looking at a long-awaited Horror game. Honestly, I didn't particularly appreciate seeing a demonic train like this with spider legs because...I am not a fan of spiders. After this game, I enjoyed the entire adventure, and hopefully, you will love this too! Today's game we are looking at today is called " Choo Choo Charles," developed by Two Star Games! Summary: Charles is a bloodthirsty train, and you need to destroy him. Investigate the island, upgrade your train to fit your needs, help the townspeople and fight Charles to the death!

How will you survive this train or face your demises against Charles? Verdict What an excellent game. I wish there were more! It's so fun shooting at a demonic train and trying to listen closely for any Train whistles.

Have you ever imagined, you would be chased by a Thomas the Train? Thomas the Train, is the childhood cartoon for most of us. It may be its eerie smile that inspires the Valley of Horrors effect in humans, or it may be the fact that various netizens play with stems and often make up urban legends about it. The developer TWO STAR announced that it was making a horror game about Thomas the Train. Just when everyone thought they were joking, TWO STAR released a trailer that scared the pants off of everyone. At the same time, the intense and exciting gameplay of "
