So, how is the game? Here are our thoughts.

Persona 5: The Phantom X offers a unique "Japanese student experience + fantasy adventure" gameplay loop, and it really captures the feeling of being a high school student in Japan. It's worth mentioning that this series of natural daily interactions not only to some extent portrays the tough yet not boring student life but also allows us to gradually master most of the gameplay.

The UI has been improved, making the previously cluttered interface much more streamlined, and the game has simplified various aspects of daily life, making it easier for players to engage with the game.

The combat system is dynamic, with a satisfying level of depth, and the game is full of well-designed maps and puzzles, making exploration a fun and engaging experience.

Character development is a bit complicated. It is divided into three parts: character strengthening, mask strengthening, and weapon strengthening. The protagonist also has a special "inspiration value."
The protagonist's level can be increased through completing dungeons and main missions, while inspiration points are obtained by collecting the primary combat item "masks," which can enhance the protagonist's basic attributes. The levels of secondary characters are tied to the masks as well.

The storyline of P5X is the biggest issue during our experience. It's not that the plot is bad, but it's just too long. It took us almost an hour before encountered the second teammate. We had already played for over four hours and had not yet completed the first palace. The game's storyline was not balanced between being lightweight and having depth, making it uncertain during testing.
Overall, Persona 5: The Phantom X is a game with clear strengths and weaknesses. It has high completion quality, great artwork, and satisfying combat and daily life features, but its pacing and character development need refinement. The purpose of testing is to identify areas for improvement and to continuously add more content until the official release, which has the potential to make the game even more fulfilling.

Persona surprises us with a Mobile spin-off | First Impressions - Persona 5: The Phantom X
Persona 5: The Phantom X is a role-playing game with turn-based combat, slice of life elements, and an anime-inspired art style. A mobile spin-off of the mainline game Persona 5, it takes us back to Japan and reintroduces us to the Phantom Thieves with a brand new protagonist and fresh roster of characters. It is catered more to the mobile platform market — a first in the series, and is now currently in beta (Android) available for China. A PC version is also available for testing, it is a full-on game client and not an emulated Android version.

5 things I learned about Persona 5: The Phantom X from TapTap's livestream
When Persona 5: The Phantom X, a new mobile and PC spin-off of Persona 5 Royal, got announced last week, I was immediately excited. I'm a Persona fanatic, and even if this free-to-play title isn't being made by Atlus and P Studio directly, it still appears to be very true to the series. Need proof of that? Look no further than the video above. Earlier this week, my TapTap colleagues Allen and Kim got access to the closed beta of Persona 5: The Phantom X, currently only available in China, and streamed the first few hours. And while there's still tons I don't know—such as if or when the game might be available in English—but here are some of the most exciting tidbits I picked up while watching the stream.
