I don't see much change to the game for a while because almost every Early Access game that comes out has some issue with actually making the game functional. Then there's the wait from release day to full release day, during which nothing much changes with the work. If any are created, it is usually one or two additional maps or characters before the project is either abandoned indefinitely or takes far too long to complete and new items cover it up when it is finally completed.
