Peglin is a near-perfect blend of pinball and old-school roguelikes. Combat is turn-based, but instead of standard weapon attacks, you deal damage by shooting orbs at pegs. The higher your score, the more damage you'll unleash on your foes. The concept is a simple one, but it's incredibly addictive, especially when the roguelikes come into play. With the success of games like 1-bit Survivor, there’s been a recent trend of low-res Resident Evil-style survival horror games, and for good reason! I See You is the latest game following this path, and it placed me in the unique perspective of a blind man searching for his girlfriend while being stalked by an evil entity. The successful incorporation of puzzles, item collection, narrative, and even music blended together perfectly to create something that really kept me on the edge of my seat.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re at all a fan of Vampire Survivors and its many clones and imitators. Bio Prototype takes the one-tiny-character-versus-hundreds-of-baddies and adds in a healthy dose of science. You play as a lab experiment gone wrong. Instead of just leveling up and unlocking a growing list of power-ups, you earn both internal and external body parts and must work out a functioning evolutionary path for your creation. This extra layer of depth adds a ton to an already addictive genre of games.

Another thing if you don't want to play a laggy version of the game I recommend playing it on a PC or a laptop instead because for some reason it's laggy on Mobile.

As someone who grew up loving football having the ability to create my own team and lead them to victory was something that I always enjoyed. Having been a competitive Madden player for a short stint I found myself wishing that they would do more with the franchise mode. Thankfully, several years later, I found this game. It doesnt have the high end buget that the madden series does but boy does it have heart. Having some advanced concepts like contract restructuring franchise tagging, and prorating is something that I did not expect to find in such a simple looking game. There is something left to be desired in terms of UI for switching between current roster and bargaining chips while in draft and the trading block but the game does so well in other departments that I am willing to overlook these concerns. I would highly recommend you check it out if you are a fan of football or if you like simulations. The developer recently released the 3rd edition of  the game but I have not had the luxury of playing it (do be on the lookout as I definitely will).

Some puzzle games are too difficult and not particularly enjoyable, unless you enjoy challenging your mind, whilst others are simply uninteresting since they do not challenge you sufficiently. Very few have an equal balance of both that will entertain but not exhaust you giving you a much more refreshing experience.

Bramble: The Mountain King is a very atmospheric adventure game with some platforming, puzzle and action elements here and there set in a grim fantasy world inspired by Nordic folklore. You play as Olle, a young boy who embarks on a great, but dangerous adventure through the beautiful and sometimes unsettling environments of this world to rescue his sister from the clutches of fairytale monsters. It's really about the journey in this game, all the different scenarios you come across are very memorable, but sometimes really unsettling and scary. Eventhough I didn't like all the chapters equally, because some were more like horror scenarios than fantasy scenarios, I was never bored and I was captivated by this game the whole way through.
