There’s 9 innings, 4 balls, 3 strike, and 3 outs. There are also 9 different fielding positions from the infield to the outfield. A hitter stands in a box near the catcher. A pitcher throws fastballs and off speed pitches to try to stoke them out. The bitter must get on base by any means. There are 3 bases and a home base. Get to home base, your team earns a run. The team with the most runs win. There’s a lot more to talk about, but it’s a bit more complicated, so let’s talk about

It puts you in the position of a mayor who has to build the resources that villagers are going to need to go out there and quest on your behalf. These buildings range from inns for them to sleep in after battle to weapons shops so that they can buy gear. Along the way you will complete missions and fulfill certain requirements to increase your village rating and attract more villagers. This can be done via events, having certain buildings, or just adding to the scenery. The entire time you will be managing the cost of maintaining your facilities and the loot that you get from slaying monsters and clearing dungeons. The biggest downside is that the game’s speed modifier is locked until you complete the first world. This process can take about 5 hours. This is a huge QOL mechanic and for those that like the gameplay loop its addition only exponentially increases the enjoyment. It is easy to modify your village structure and adding and removing buildings works well compared to a lot of other games. I am happy to say that this is a great title to check dip your toes into the Karisoft developer as by all accounts this is one of their better titles. I really enjoyed this game and is a great game to just zone out and enjoy the progression to. I would recommend it as a relaxing sim title!

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it, especially if you’re in the mood to get lost in a great story. I’d describe Fall of Porcupine as a cozy game, but there’s an underlying darkness to its narrative that gives its events a real sense of weight. You play as Finley, a small-town doctor who’s returning to work after an on-the-job injury. Finley clearly loves the town of Porcupine and its residents, but he has some concerns about St. Ursula’s, the hospital he works at. There’s a free demo that serves as a prologue to the main story, and I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re interested in the game.

I thought this game was an Action game with pixel graphics. But the editor tricked me. In fact, the game is based on the Sokoban game, Turn-Based+ Pixel+Roguelike Game (???) ⇣⇣⇣ Characters have three unique Skills, each of which is required for successful execution, but all require three stamina per turn. Therefore, you must use all moving and dash carefully. 🫠 And please don't click on the button because this game is not an action game

Defense Derby has just launched it's early access in select countries. The gameplay consists of tower defense but specializes in fun PVP. The PVP game mode puts 4 players against each other with a exciting twist. Aside from the typical idea of just putting heroes on a map to defend a lane, the PVP features a currency system called derby coins. Before the round begins all players will see a random character card shown. The players will then wager any amount they desire to try and win that character card. The highest bigger wins the character and can deploy them to protect their castle. You never know how much your opponents are wagering until the end. The strategy involved makes the PVP mode loads of fun and adds way more depth to the game.

I will say that you are playing it more for the puzzles than the story. The prior has quite a bit of nuance and different mechanics for you to master, the latter feels like it falls a little flat. More than anything else the gameplay is actually very enjoyable and 100% levels felt great every time you achieved it. This biggest pitfall for me was that the ad experience was inconsistent with some ads being significantly longer than others and some happening every one level or after a few levels. In this department I usually prefer to know what I am getting myself into. That being said, the game is very well designed and it is clear a lot of care went into it. I would especially recommend supporting developers like these! 

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you love unforgiving platformers, but skip it if you don’t. Chronicles of 2 Heroes: Amaterasu’s Wrath is a throwback to the days of tough-as-nails 16-bit platformers like the original Rayman, Ghosts ’n Goblins, and classic Mega Man. Here the gimmick to master is switching between brother and sister heroes who both have different abilities: Kensei has samurai armor and a sword, but can’t jump; Ayame is agile and throws kunai, but is far more vulnerable to damage.

Hero Siege: Pocket Edition is a steam-ported game, an indie, role-playing game with multiplayer functions. It's a paid game available on IOS, Android, and Steam, but a hidden gem in my opinion. I played it and made me continue for several days; attempting to get the strongest equipment and straining myself on creating my strongest character ever! This game is by far the best football game I have played on mobile. It has licenses for teams, players, leagues and cups and it is really fun to play this way. It makes me happy to see a game where buying and selling players is incredibly well integrated into the gameplay. It is a bit difficult to learn but easy to master. I recommend it to all football lovers.

From Sherlock Holmes to the recent film remake of the classic Agatha Christie novel Death on the Nile, I’ve been captivated by the detective genre over the years. It’s not just TV and books either. As a kid, I loved the board game Mystery Mansion, where you’re tasked with building a Victorian-style mansion and finding the hidden treasure in one of the estate’s many rooms. Something about gathering evidence, piecing together clues, and slowly revealing the truth inspires me. In fact, there was a time I even wanted to be an FBI agent! It’s no wonder this love of intrigue has extended itself to gaming as well.

Delivery From The Pain has to be one of the best indie games I have ever played. The initial cost is around $4 USD (currently on sale) available on google play or IOS store. The gameplay consists of you exploring areas in this post apocalyptic world filled with zombies. The game gives you a top-down view of the environment with tons of tiny details. The game also focuses on the stealth aspect causing you to sneak around the environments and attack zombies only at the most opportune times. The game was developed by just 7 people which took them 2 years to make. The beginning has you choose 1 of 2 starting characters. 1 is a male and the other a female both with different stats in skills.

While the game started me off with a simple quest—deliver a letter to some guy named Greg—I soon found myself taking on all kinds of odd jobs. Whether I was playing matchmaker, finding a new hat for a capybara, or helping characters pull off a heist, I was thoroughly charmed by
