The game is also lacking in content in certain areas, such as base building which is very limited and simplistic. The game is also very repetitive, as you constantly have to harvest resources, craft items, and face similar enemies.

The Harvest Moon series was incredible—I loved tending crops, raising livestock, and chatting up the locals. But there were times when I wanted something more. SHOULD I PLAY PESTICIDE NOT REQUIRED? Absolutely yes. Pesticide Not Required has everything I could ever want in a Vampire Survivors clone: smooth bullet heaven gameplay, over-the-top power-ups, frogs, farming mechanics, and even a pet capybara to help me care for my plants. I’ve only played the demo, but I’m already head over heels in love with Pesticide Not Required. Unless you totally hate roguelites—or frogs—this is a must play.

This was such a calm and pleasant game and I think would benefit itself greatly with a challenge mode, DLC, or anything else. I'd like to keep playing it over and again, but with 100% completion, it's sort of feels ultimately pointless but still fun? It was more than just your usual deck building experience. You develop a relationship with each character and their characteristics along the journey, making it much more difficult to say goodbye once you've completed the game.
