I’d describe Fall of Porcupine as a cozy game, but there’s an underlying darkness to its narrative that gives its events a real sense of weight. You play as Finley, a small-town doctor who’s returning to work after an on-the-job injury. Finley clearly loves the town of Porcupine and its residents, but he has some concerns about St. Ursula’s, the hospital he works at. There’s a free demo that serves as a prologue to the main story, and I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re interested in the game.

Palworld is a survival and creature capture game set in an open world where you can build your base, recruit Pals (cute animals inspired by Pokémon), and battle. 👍 Pros: The game offers a wide variety of activities to do with your Pals, such as training them, using them as workers, equipping them with weapons, cooking them or eating them. The game doesn't take itself seriously. 👎 Cons: The game suffers from several technical issues, such as bugs, lags, crashes and poor graphics. The game is also lacking in content in certain areas, such as base building which is very limited and simplistic. The game is also very repetitive, as you constantly have to harvest resources, craft items, and face similar enemies.

Palworld, the survival and creature capture game which is largely inspired by Pokémon, has been a hit since its release in early access on January 19, 2024. The game has already exceeded 8 million sales on Steam and Xbox, despite the  criticism of its lack of finish and its originality.  Faced with this phenomenon, the Pokémon Company finally published an official statement on its site, in which it states that it has not authorized the use of Pokémon intellectual property in Palworld, and that it intends to investigate and take appropriate measures to  protect their rights.

Story of Seasons - A Wonderful Life is a rework of the classic Harvest Moon - A Wonderful Life. It's actually a semi-decent port of the PlayStation 2 version of the game; yet, when compared to the GameCube version, many things here have been modified or omitted completely.

This was such a calm and pleasant game and I think would benefit itself greatly with a challenge mode, DLC, or anything else. I'd like to keep playing it over and again, but with 100% completion, it's sort of feels ultimately pointless but still fun? It was more than just your usual deck building experience. You develop a relationship with each character and their characteristics along the journey, making it much more difficult to say goodbye once you've completed the game.

Paleo Pines is a farm sim with an amazing twist: you have a pet dinosaur. When I wasn’t busy watering crops, I could hop on my dino and ride into town. Paleo Pines is a little buggy, and the controls are kind of clunky, but I still thought it was a lot of fun. TIME PLAYED

Many years ago, when controllers still had wires and dinosaurs roamed the earth, there was only one farming series on the scene: Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon series was incredible—I loved tending crops, raising livestock, and chatting up the locals. But there were times when I wanted something more. PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re a fan of farming games. Everdream Valley has modern 3D graphics, but it feels like it could be a hidden prequel to Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon. Instead of running your own farm, you play as a kid spending their summer vacation with their grandparents. Your grandparents aren’t in the best of health, and their farm has definitely seen better days. If you’re up to the challenge, there are crops to water, animals to care for, and locations to explore. The game is cute and cozy, but it’s also filled with things to do, so if you’ve got the farming bug, it should keep you busy for quite a while.

As an avid cat lover, I had been following this game since it was first announced. It looked amazing, the Kitty was fluffy and full of personality in every single one of their trailers, but as the release date approached, everything began to feel like a budget reduction version, cutting the style of the feline to be more smooth and polished. Playing a variety of games, particularly open world adventure games that involve traveling, meeting new characters, and having fun, is something I truly look forward to, which I assumed would be the premise here, but it turned out to be nothing more than a one-hour fetch quest that offered nothing of interest unless you're a toddler or an obsessed cat lover. You would be wasting your money on this game.
