What’s that pink stuff hanging from its neck? Wouldn’t the extra weight make it hard to fly? Why does it have such a smug facial expression? And this bird isn’t just weird-looking: It has mediocre stats, it’s a huge pain to catch, and it bullies other, cuter monsters. If I didn’t care about completing my dex, I wouldn’t have bothered to catch Fezandipiti in the first place.

Story of Seasons - A Wonderful Life is a rework of the classic Harvest Moon - A Wonderful Life. It's actually a semi-decent port of the PlayStation 2 version of the game; yet, when compared to the GameCube version, many things here have been modified or omitted completely.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re a fan of farming games. Everdream Valley has modern 3D graphics, but it feels like it could be a hidden prequel to Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon. Instead of running your own farm, you play as a kid spending their summer vacation with their grandparents. Your grandparents aren’t in the best of health, and their farm has definitely seen better days. If you’re up to the challenge, there are crops to water, animals to care for, and locations to explore. The game is cute and cozy, but it’s also filled with things to do, so if you’ve got the farming bug, it should keep you busy for quite a while.

As an avid cat lover, I had been following this game since it was first announced. It looked amazing, the Kitty was fluffy and full of personality in every single one of their trailers, but as the release date approached, everything began to feel like a budget reduction version, cutting the style of the feline to be more smooth and polished. Playing a variety of games, particularly open world adventure games that involve traveling, meeting new characters, and having fun, is something I truly look forward to, which I assumed would be the premise here, but it turned out to be nothing more than a one-hour fetch quest that offered nothing of interest unless you're a toddler or an obsessed cat lover. You would be wasting your money on this game.

In this game, we are bringing drinks to customers as a cat. When we reach the determined amount every day, a new level is opened. Different types of drinks are added at each level. Their price goes up as well. The sounds and visuals of the game are very good. However, since it is difficult to control the cat, you constantly bump into something. This slows you down. Many years ago, when controllers still had wires and dinosaurs roamed the earth, there was only one farming series on the scene: Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon series was incredible—I loved tending crops, raising livestock, and chatting up the locals. But there were times when I wanted something more. What would it be like to play a farming game with a different setting? What if there was a game where I could whack weeds and slay monsters?

SHOULD I PLAY PESTICIDE NOT REQUIRED? Absolutely yes. Pesticide Not Required has everything I could ever want in a Vampire Survivors clone: smooth bullet heaven gameplay, over-the-top power-ups, frogs, farming mechanics, and even a pet capybara to help me care for my plants. I’ve only played the demo, but I’m already head over heels in love with Pesticide Not Required. Unless you totally hate roguelites—or frogs—this is a must play.

This game is incredibly adorable. I like reading Tsuki's diary entries now and then, and the soundtrack is soothing. The graphics are fantastic, and the characters are fascinating. It's nice that I don't have to rush things and can just watch the story unfold. Overall, this is a good game. Palworld, the survival and creature capture game which is largely inspired by Pokémon, has been a hit since its release in early access on January 19, 2024. SHOULD I PLAY PALEO PINES? If you’re looking for a cute, cozy game, you’ll have a hard time finding something cuter or cozier than this! Paleo Pines is a farm sim with an amazing twist: you have a pet dinosaur. When I wasn’t busy watering crops, I could hop on my dino and ride into town. Paleo Pines is a little buggy, and the controls are kind of clunky, but I still thought it was a lot of fun. TIME PLAYED
