As an avid cat lover, I had been following this game since it was first announced. It looked amazing, the Kitty was fluffy and full of personality in every single one of their trailers, but as the release date approached, everything began to feel like a budget reduction version, cutting the style of the feline to be more smooth and polished. Playing a variety of games, particularly open world adventure games that involve traveling, meeting new characters, and having fun, is something I truly look forward to, which I assumed would be the premise here, but it turned out to be nothing more than a one-hour fetch quest that offered nothing of interest unless you're a toddler or an obsessed cat lover. it’s been a wild ride since I started writing for TapTap. Since then, I was trapped in a major city-wide shutdown, moved back to the United States with a cat, started graduate school, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, have reviewed over forty titles with TapTap. Admittedly, I never would’ve thought to play some of these games on my own. And some of these games have been gems I’ve kept on my phone and play regularly. One thing for sure is that I’ve gained a deeper perspective and respect for game developers and the tiny nuances they put into trying to make a great mobile game! SHOULD I PLAY PALEO PINES? If you’re looking for a cute, cozy game, you’ll have a hard time finding something cuter or cozier than this! Paleo Pines is a farm sim with an amazing twist: you have a pet dinosaur. When I wasn’t busy watering crops, I could hop on my dino and ride into town. Paleo Pines is a little buggy, and the controls are kind of clunky, but I still thought it was a lot of fun. TIME PLAYED
