If there's one thing I can appreciate in a game, it's a good narrative. In fact, it's probably my favorite thing. I could forgive a lot if the story is tight. So, with the upcoming story-rich Sword of Convallaria promising to combine a choice-based narrative with multiple endings and SRPG gameplay in A classic pixel artistic style that brings me back to the days of old, I'm seriously considering adding it to my mobile games library.

One of the best things about a strategy game is when the battlefield actually matters. Not just the units. Not just the numbers. The terrain itself. High ground, river lanes, choke points, and movement space all change how a battle plays out in Generals of Legends. A stronger army in the wrong position can still lose. That is the kind of strategy depth we want players to feel right away.

AFK Arena is one of the most addictive idle games I've ever played, but AFK Journey improves upon it in every way. Everything about it is amazing, from its stunning character designs to its strategic battles to its immersive world. While it's techniquely an idle battler, it's a game that's impossible to tear yourself away from. There's always something to do in AFK Journey, and if you feel like playing it for hours, you can absolutely do so. That flexibility might be my favorite thing about the game. The gameplay had me hooked right from the start, so I got in a good long play session before I took my first break. When I came back, there were tons of idle rewards waiting for me. I love that I can switch between playing it non-stop and treating it as a standard idle game.

SHOULD I PLAY PERSONA 5 TACTICA? Play it if you enjoyed Persona 5 and have any interest in strategy RPGs. Persona 5 Tactica is stylish, charming, and has absurdly addictive tactical battles. The chibi art style won’t appeal to everyone, but it’s a fantastic-looking game with even better gameplay.
