Your only objective is simply to survive as long as possible in the mind numbing limbo of long term unemployment and social isolation. Unemployment Simulator 2018is a comedic exploration of loneliness and depression based on lived experience. The game offers an addicting roguelike inspired gameplay loop, where you progress in the story by completing daily tasks related to self care, household chores and job seeking. Meanwhile you need to balance statistics related to your mental health, and most importantly keep dopamine levels high to avoid a literal death by boredom. The repetitive and demoralizing daily routine is interrupted by surreal dream levels and surprising randomized events, eventually leading into an epic mystery to solve with multiple endings.
