Brave Birdy

Brave Birdy, a simple game with bright and colourful graphics that can keep you entertained for hours if you let it. Gameplay wise this game has some pretty fun things about it, you must tap on the left and right hand side of your device, allowing for your bird to fly for a short burst. If you continue to tap the left or the right direction, your bird will climb higher in the air in that direction. You must dodge the various traps on the map as well as collect the apples on the map. The apples are the in game currency, and saving them up will let you buy items from the shop. I was personally surprised that there was no actual cash shop, and that you just needed to save enough apples to buy the upgrades you need.

Brave Birdy feels like it was done by a college dropout who failed coding class. The game has many problems and isn't even worth downloading or trying. The biggest issue being that the game isn't proportioned to your device so many things end up off the screen leaving you confused. The bird starts the level by being off the screen, so you don't even know where it is. The controls are more frustrating than unique. The main objective is to collect the apples on the screen and make it to the finish line. Collecting the apples however is not necessary to complete the level. The only main purpose of the apples is to use them to buy things in the shop.

MY OVERALL SCORE 2/10 The game has a lot of problems and is just plain boring. The grind to get enough apples just to unlock a new character is awful. The screen is not proportional to your device so things are constantly off the screen leaving you confused. It feels like the game was made from an undergraduate in his moms' basement.  It gives you enjoyment for maybe 5 minutes. I don't recommend you even bother downloading it. It's pretty bad.
