About the GameBuilders of Egypt is an economic city-building game taking place in the Nile Valley and inspired by the long-term love of history and culture of ancient Egypt.Builders of Egypt: Prologue 2 is a small preview of what the final game will offer. The Prologue's 2 content evolves along with the base game development. All the missions currently available in the latest branch are designed to introduce players to the most elementary game mechanics. The Prologue allows you also to familiarize yourself with in-game features such as basic wares production, farming and fishing, mining, land, and sea trade, and the last one – the most anticipated and long-awaited – offers the possibility to build the Bent Pyramid of Dahshur. Players can choose between playing in Campaign Mode and Sandbox Mode.
The story starts in a little-known protodynastic period in which you will be able to observe the birth of the Old Kingdom Egypt. Discovering subsequent periods in history, your journey will finally end with the death of Cleopatra VII in the Ptolemaic Period.



The most crucial and vital aspect of the game is skillful management including strategic urban planning, thoughtful budgetary and diplomatic decisions, taking great care of your relationships with other cities and trading partners as well as keeping your citizens happy and omnipresent deities satisfied with your level of religious devotion. A well-designed city will greatly improve your economic efficiency while leading also to a significant increase in your Egyptian empire's income. It will mitigate likewise various types of city risks such as fire hazards, collapse, and safety-related threats.

Diplomacy and politics:
The governor will have to make on daily basis difficult and strategic decisions depending on the current economic and political situation. Costly expeditions, Pharaoh and other cities requests, military threats, dissatisfied citizens will be commonplace. Trade:
Trade is one of the many essential elements in your city management. Without properly planned trade routes and an economy based on import and export, it will be almost impossible to maintain economic stability. Constantly increasing taxes and lowering wages will lead to discontent and migration of your people, and hence to the collapse of your empire. Therefore, in the interest of the player, goods production along with a considerate arrangement of manufacturing buildings will be required.



Monuments:
What would the real Ancient Egypt be without its monumental sacred architecture? There are mastabas, obelisks, various types of temples, Karnak among others, and of course the majestic pyramids that are waiting to be built. You will be able to participate by observing the slow process of the monument’s construction. A team of carpenters, masons, architects, and ordinary workers will rise building step by step, stone by stone. It won’t be just a simple graphical feature. The building process is a highly expensive project and will have a huge impact on the finances along with the public mood.



War:
Ancient Egypt's history is full of clashes of emerging and failing empires, specifically during the New Kingdom Period in which Egypt expanded its empire and as a result was constantly at war. Your tasks will also include defending your cities against invaders’ attacks. Furthermore, you will be obliged to answer Pharaoh's call and support your Ruler by sending troops or requested goods such as food, weapons, valuables, etc. Not fulfilling those military inquiries will determine your future and might affect irrevocably your reputation as a leader.
