Gun & Dungeons

Gun & Dungeons is an action-RPG shooter that uses tricks (i.e., switches, moving lasers, etc.) to stage battles on an isometric, quarter-view map. It leans heavily on the run-and-gun, twin-stick shooters of yore—Total Carnage, Smash TV and Robotron. It’s nowhere near as entertaining (or as elegantly designed) as these classics, but what it does, it does well. So it seems I’m a nameless pixel lad with a rather large arsenal blasting through hordes of repetitive enemies in my hunt for loot—loot that I can then use to upgrade my weapons and equipment. My mission is to survive as long as possible so I can be whisked away to the next dungeon. This is child’s play at the outset, but gradually becomes more difficult, only to reach absurd levels. This, of course, is by design as a way to get me to start spending actual money on upgrades via the dreaded microtransactions.

My overall Rating 5/10 The randomized dungeons is what keeps the game entertaining otherwise there are lots of things you will experience that hurt your overall fun. The game will often crash, I wasn't even able to continue to play because stage 11 would not load for me, same with survival mode... it just wouldn't load me into the level. Get ready to enter Chimera 5, a monster-infested world system, crawling with all kinds of vicious creatures. Basically, the perfect venue for a twisted spectating alien sports tournament to the death.

Looking at a game called " Gun and Dungeons" If you haven't played Enter the Gungeon think of this one as a Voxel/Mobile version of the game. Story: The rules are simple: you must survive the treacherous dungeons, filled with hordes of nasty monsters. If you reach the end, you will face an even more powerful monster. The reward for defeating the boss? A huge loot pile and… another dungeon, of course, this is how sinister this competition is!
