《黑帝斯》曾經拿下遊戲大獎最佳獨立遊戲獎、最佳動作遊戲獎，BAFTA 最佳遊戲獎等眾多獎項肯定，並相當受到玩家歡迎。如今在《黑帝斯 2》中，玩家將化身冥界公主「墨利諾厄（Melinoë）」使用古老魔法對抗時間泰坦。
至於在自即日起推出的搶先體驗遊戲方面，官方預告將會在搶先體驗遊戲期間陸續更新各種新的功能與內容，並將會實裝比前作還要更多的關卡舞台、更多的敵人，以及全語音演出的角色，讓玩家能盡情體驗本作比前作更加豐富刺激的戰鬥冒險與故事劇情。
