hoptix is a movement playground game inspired by classic speed platformers, arcade skateboarding games, and platform fighters.FeaturesResponsive, expressive movement: Use a variety of movement techniques, from walljumps to doublejumps to railgrinds to airdodges to traverse levels your way. Stop on a dime at any speed.
Wavedashing: We have it.
Built-in Gif camera: Easily record your gameplay in-game and generate a social media-friendly .gif file. Show off to your friends with no hassle!
hoptix is a bit more like a walking simulator, or the free roam mode of an arcade skateboarding game, than a traditional platformer. It's all about exploring, racing, and stunting through exciting, but peaceful environments at your own pace. It's also very easy and beginner-friendly to clear any level, and has no enemies or "death pits." hoptix doesn't want anything getting between you and the way you want to play, and invites you to find your own challenges and goals.hoptix is for people who:enjoy other momentum-based platformers
are intrinsically motivated by movement and style
have thoughts like "Can I get through this room without touching the ground?"
hoptix is a very short game, with a single playthrough only having a runtime of about an hour, however it's a game that's meant to be replayed! Each level features multiple different routes and many opportunities to express your own personal style through its movement mechanics and obstacles.
