He enters a coma from alcohol poisoning, and not only is he then trapped in the hospital... he is also trapped in messed up and straight up absurd worlds inside his mind,
During his coma, you use traditional film projectors to project different world onto the walls, allowing you to walk into them and discover his different perspectives, and finally learning about a very dark truth.
