The 4th Indie Camp - 2020 Xindong×TapTap Indie Camp Works By: High and Low Interaction The title of this year's Indie Camp is "Change", Change-Time, Change-Life, Change-Form, Change-Samsara . Therefore, we decided to try our best to make a game with a theme that can show the above four changes at the same time. First, "change" is almost one of the most important design lines for video games. Besides, the four changing themes of the Independence Camp this time actually have a deep internal connection, and each change will eventually lead to another change. The connection is naturally a reincarnation, which is very interesting. We start with thinking about time, and regard the four seasons of the year as a cycle. The length of time is compressed, and the changes in different forms of life, climate, plants, and animals are displayed in an instant. The team is also composed of members who deeply love the Zelda series and love decryption games. An image of a hero who spans time appears—the hero of time-Zeno the Tortoise, who is about to pick up his (not very reliable) sword again, step into the broken forest of scatter to save time and space, and become the slowest hero in the history of the game . Since our protagonist, the Hero of Time, is moving too slowly, every time he takes a step forward, time will pass by a season. And when he steps back, time also moves back. As a result, the four seasons change rapidly in front of the player's eyes, and the climate and plants also grow and cycle accordingly to form a dynamic maze. Players need to find a way deep into the forest while thinking about the passage of time. As a result, our time control for this independent camp was very poor, and we spent too much time drawing to create the imaginary "scattered forest". It caused a lot of quality problems, but in addition to the levels that we had time to do this time, we also imagined a lot of mechanisms that fit the seasonal cycle time changes, and look forward to adding them all to the game.
