It is one of several SaGa games that have always tried to be unique, often feeling like they're experimenting to create a fun game. The fighting system is one of the game's most intriguing aspects because it incorporates several components, such as durability points for weapons and life points for characters, to make even the most straightforward encounters feel intense. Completing the main mission and minor quests without any framework is a double-edged sword.

The original version of this game dates back to 1992,Square Enix released the fantastic Romancing SaGa on the Super Famicon in Japan. The fourth ‘SaGa’ game, it revolutionized the series with its non-linear structure and innovative mechanics.
It was influential and it is definitely a very different JRPG from what most people are playing today, you can choose one of eight main characters, and as you explore the vast world, your actions and decisions will weave a story that is uniquely yours.
