Blast Knights: ល្បែងផ្គុំរូប RPG

Blast Knights. A Game that at first glance looks pretty cute with a fantasy style to it at the same time. You need to use your hero to target various different coloured orbs on the ground to be able to charge into enemies and to use special abilities. Which is all fine and everything except if you die and don't decide to watch an ad to revive. There is 10 stages per region from what I experienced, maybe more if you get far enough, but if you die and don't revive, you have to start from stage 1 again and work your way back up. So make sure to revive and watch that ad, unless you want to start from the beginning of that chapter like I had to. The game seems fun, but a bit confusing. I admit it felt very confusing at times. And while the game was bright and colourful, I just don't enjoy the gameplay.

Blast Knights is a game that at first I thought this could be pretty fun, with its bright and colourful themes and crazy main character design... I thought I could have fun in this game... However I was wrong. Gameplay wise Blast Knights has you charging from orb to colourful orb, trying to get combos that will let you use special skills. These special skills are unlocked from the bingo skill menu. Which if you get a bingo, unlocks an extra skill. Watching ads will also let you unlock more skills. So if you want to unlock the full bingo menu, you will have to watch a few ads before you reach the last boss of the chapter. However the game design and how the gameplay works felt confusing to me, and I didn't truly enjoy my experience with it.

Blast Knights is the kind of game I want to truly dislike, but I just can’t because it’s so goddamn jaunty and charming… and there’s something to be said for that. At its core, Blast Knights is a “match the shapes and colors” game that I’ve played a thousand times before, but it does such a good job at distracting me from that fact that I kind of forgot I wasn’t supposed to like it. It does this with a good amount of graphical razzle dazzle as your knight is blasting around the screen, killing the cutsey enemies and collecting items and the like. It also kept me engaged with a bingo-like power-up system where I was picking abilities on a board where matching rows unlock new and greater abilities.
