When I started this game, I never thought it would be this good.
What really kept me going was the story — the sheer amount of lore is impressive and honestly the reason I didn’t uninstall early on. The graphics and environment are stunningly beautiful and immersive, especially when you stumble upon hidden questlines.
Character design? Practically flawless. But if I’m being honest, no one has really clicked with me the way Stelle (FMC) and Kafka have — they’re just on another level.
Now onto the gameplay and combat. It’s a turn-based strategy game, and you can easily progress through the story with just about any team. But once you hit the endgame? That’s a different beast. You’ll need powerful units and solid universal supports if you want a smoother experience. Sure, you can clear it with any team — I’ve done it — but it feels like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Not impossible, but definitely a challenge. Powercreep really shows up here.
Gacha system? It’s... okay. Nothing groundbreaking. Sometimes it’s a thrill (like when I won 3 50/50s in a row), sometimes it’s a letdown (RIP Aglea, got Gepard instead).
Light Cones? Yeah, they’re a must if you want your characters to reach their full potential — skipping their signature LC usually holds them back.
Limited-time events and stories are pretty good. They hand out solid rewards like Stellar Jades and Trace of Destiny. The recent Fate collaboration was nice — a free Archer unit (plus ascension materials) and a limited Saber banner to pull from.
Verdict:
The only major downsides are the noticeable powercreep and the nature of the gacha. It can get boring after you finish everything, but that’s a great time to start building and experimenting with other characters.
Final Rating: 9/10.
