I played the game for awhile but after the first chapter on the first story it felt mediocre, the animation is great though and it has potential.

Did you complete atleast one Godheim chapter route? If not, then you must've stopped at the prologue which is like just an intro and where the story doesn't quite pick up yet in any story. Suggest completing Godheim completely for full experience.
