I started playing this game since the launch in 2020, and I stopped at the end of Fontaine. This game was a comfort game for a long time. A complex worldbuilding that always makes you want to discover more, a nice story (more or less inticing depending on your preferences) very cool characters, a very present and well-delivered fantasy atmosphere, absolutely magnificent soundtracks... I loved it, despite some weak points. But, over time, they didn't listen to the players, they didn't improve (the storytelling, like in hsr, which leaves a lot to be desired), they became lazy... Whether it's the recycling of movesets, design (more subtle), animation.
When you play the game, you almost feel like it has no soul, it doesn't give any emotions despite heartbreaking stories (Teppei forever in my heart). Personally, the characters' expressions, the acting, etc., make me laugh more because of their grotesque side. The music sometimes manages to make up for this catastrophe, fortunately.
The exploration was good, although sometimes it became redundant (we can say that they integrated the heavy atmosphere of the desert in Sumeru well, seeing how long and exhausting it was..). Fortunately, from what I understood, they made up for it in Natlan.
I wouldn't go much further because it's been a while since I played it, and, despite the new region coming and the new characters that look fantastic, it doesn't make me want to come back. It became boring, a chore. There's also a powercreep problem, with dps that are dependent on other units. We can't even pull peacefully for a character without worrying about whether it will be useful. Lack of reward, F2P life is hard and it becomes impossible to finish all the content of the game.
