Well, I agree that this game has a lot of flaws. But, strangely, I really like it, let me explain:
- I'm a fan of worldbuilding, so I can confirm, despite what some will say, that the story is very well-crafted, as are the characters. The universe itself is complex, and no, the main character is not a "mary sue"/perfect. On the contrary, if you follow the story, the mc is one of the characters, if not the most, with flaws. I won't spoil anything, but by reading, you'll understand. The storytelling is also wonderful, I love the interactions with the environment and other characters, the expressions, the animations, the accents depending on the region... And the music, I could listen to it for hours. There is a skip button, but I never want to skip.
-Let's get to the characters: I like the male characters as much as the female ones, and I'm disappointed not to have more male characters. Especially because Kuro makes incredible characters. Yet, not a single one of the units is detestable, despite the fan service, so I sometimes forgot the lacks of fair ratio. I, who found myself being annoyed by some characters thinking about the fan service, find myself loving them (Cartethiya and Cantarella are incredibles, the goats). I just hope they diversify the female character designs which can seem repetitive.
-Then, the quality of life is great. The devs listen (everything except the lack of male characters apparently), making the game very enjoyable to play. The only thing missing, in my opinion, given that it's an open world, is the lack of activities other than combat or quests. Exploration is very good, especially since 2.0 with flying, and the landscapes are breathtaking (I can't say enough how much I love the design of the game)
-I'll finish with the combat. I find it very enjoyable to play, one of the first (mobile/free) games where I can spend my time fighting without getting bored. I also love the fact that you can play any character, the one you prefer, even a 4 star, and finish the levels of the game: a little investment in the build (farming is easy) a good understanding of the character's kit and the monster's moveset, and that's it. I just hope they stop making exclusively mono-element teams (for the "best teams").
