Distinguished enthusiasts, Moncage will be making its public debut on the frigid mid-winter's day of November 16th!

What began as a spark of inspiration has finally been realized after four long years of dedication from the

developers.

For a deeper understanding of what it took, let's return to where the Moncage dream was realized -- the offices of Optillusion -- for a short interview with Zhou Dong and Chen Yijia, the game's producers.

Q: Moncage is about to launch. Can you share any thoughts on the four years it took to the develop the game with our audience?

A: Developing a game can take total dedication of one's life and some serious passion for work, but we also feel like we've made some great achievements. We would occasionally find the tiniest flaw that was causing problems in our narrative, and then have to spend hours chasing down the issue and polishing out its blemishes; we really strived to make Moncage the best it could possibly be. Being so detailed in our work makes us confident in the game we're delivering. Sometimes we have to remember to take a step back

and admire what we've created (they laugh).

Q: What separates Moncage from other puzzle games?

A: Information needed to solve puzzles in Moncage is represented and communicated visually. Players are encouraged to use their imagination while observing and interacting with the game's environments to solve its mysteries. Parts of the puzzles within Moncage are recognizable items from our world, many of which are directly tied to the game's narrative. In other words, everything within the game is interlinked - even the tiniest detail could possess the deepest of meanings.

Q: Is there anything you'd like to say to the players themselves?

A: We truly appreciate everyone who has supported us thus far and for their patience as we approach launch. It seems that many people have been waiting to play Moncage for a while now. You could say that the players' enthusiasm and expectations for our game have been the driving forces behind our development for the past four years. Otherwise, we just sincerely hope that everyone enjoys our game and that it will be more than worth the wait!
