Marvel Future Revolution Game Review: Take a journey around the Marvel Universe
Marvel Future Revolution is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game featuring Marvel characters. While that sounds interesting, the question is if it has been turned into a playable game. It's a highly anticipated game with a large fan following because it's Marvel.

Marvel Future Revolution's gameplay is lackluster at best. There's a lot Netmarble could accomplish with the game, but all players have to do is spam the assault button, and there's also autoplay, which makes the game a tedious grind. The characters appear to be very faithful to their MCU counterparts, and players can choose who they wish to play as.
Transforming the Marvel universe into exactly what you wanted it to be
However, the cool-looking superheroes are one of the game's best parts. Naturally, this game revolves around them, and you can take on the role of a variety of Marvel characters. The suits that your characters may wear were also a cool aspect. To make your hero stronger and tougher, you can mix and match costumes and pair them with other accessories. This, too, has a significant drawback. That will be discussed further down.
There is a plot in the game, as well as PvP gameplay, and the tale was created by Marc Sumerak, who previously worked for Marvel. It's a unique story set on the planet Primary Earth. Starlord, Black Widow, Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Storm are currently available to play as.
Optimization is something to think about. Even mid-range phones with good mobile gaming capabilities will struggle. Overheating and freezing are common across devices, and it's a critical issue that has to be addressed.
High-quality graphics with simple and tedious controls
Graphics and sound effects are one of the game's strong points. The scenery surrounding you is quite detailed, as are the attack effects, and the characters are very detailed and cool. Cutscenes are another excellent feature. They look and sound fantastic thanks to the voice acting, and the superheroes have moments where you can see their personalities. The controls are adequate, however the majority of the game consists of simply pressing the buttons on the left side of the screen. The user interface is also simple to learn.
Netmarble's unforgivable paywall
The absence of advertisements is a benefit, but in-app purchases are one of the game's major flaws. The game is clearly pay-to-win, and if you go to the store, you'll notice that each character has a variety of cosmetics, but they're not just cosmetics.
It will increase your players' damage and strength numbers, which some gamers may find unfair. There are various expensive bundles available, and if you plan on participating in PvP, someone who has made these purchases will have a big advantage.
Final Verdict
Netmarble could have done a lot more with Marvel Future Revolution, but they didn't. Instead, they created a pay-to-win game with mediocre gameplay. A fantastic concept has been converted into a terrible game that does not appear to be worth playing.
Many people predicted this because Netmarble has done it before, and it appears that despite the criticism, they are unwilling to change. This makes the game disappointing, and since Netmarble's past games have a similar theme, it's unlikely that they will make any adjustments.
