Game is goated and sure the tutorial is a bit limited.
I might list it's pros and cons
PROS:
- open map that takes a bit to explore.
- many factions and cities, and you can make your own faction if you conquer a city/town/homestead.
- not too easy, not too hard, purely skill based. Love the heat of the battle. Sounds are great, parry system is great, and the mechanics are good.
- customisable fleets, orders, names, and upgrades for the units you have/hire.
CONS:
- many enemy factions wont allow you to access some places as they are camping there.
- if you go with a havenhorn instead of human race, you will still be an enemy to havenhorns which makes no sense.
- needs a nemesis/arch enemy system.
- more races and choices when making a character are wanted but not needed.
- game gets super hard all of a sudden when you own multiple cities as it has no fast travel and unless you have high agility it would take a while to get to each city.
Overall I'd give it a 9/10 this game is goated and I've been a fan of the devs since gladihoppers
