I have a really mixed feeling about this game. I really don't like the heavy lean toward P2W but at the same time I like the Shoot `em ups gameplay, the story, the art style, the musics, the Characters, and especially the Mechas design.
The story are honestly really interesting with large number of cast and cool Mechas, the musics from common thing the menus give a really unique vibe compared many other games out there and the musics during the story related battle can feel epic. The combat give you typical danmaku (bullet hell) top down perspective overlooking your Mechas and enemies, while you Mechas can move on themselves to fight you can control them to avoid enemies attack or direct their attacks.
The biggest minus in this game is game are heavily lean toward P2W, making it feels like F2P players are controlling generic mech while the P2W players controlling the Super Robot Mech in PVP. Playing PVP will likely ruin your experience on this game because the disparity are that large, fortunately I play this game for the story it won't affect that much so my suggestion if you play this for the story don't touch the PVP but if if you play this for the cool mechas then you neither get ready to open your wallet or just quit this game.
I've been playing this game for a year and a half and haven't put a penny into it. I just play because I love the game. all gacha games are the same you just have to be strong minded to not fall for the gacha. You don't need to spend money on a game if you enjoy it, unless you want to support the developers of course.
