Games worth discovering

I like Crystal of Atlan, but let's not kid ourselves and understand it is in fact a highly monetized game just like every other mobile free to play mobile these days. Is it too monetized to be immersion breaking or make the game unfun? I don't know because I'm still in the early parts of the game and haven't hit a pay wall yet, however, the moment I need to pay real money to have a good character or suffer an insane snail'space grind I'm out. No "ands", "ifs" or "buts" about it - I'll ditch it quicker than I did Undawn.
The Good:
- The combat is super slick in both PvE and PvP, but it's pretty challenging against other players. This isn't a pushover's game.
- Combos are easy to learn, hard to master.
- The art style and graphics. It is one of the better looking anime styles and the graphical fidelity is pretty good for a mobile game.
The Bad:
- Classes are gender locked. Sorry if I don't want to run around as a girl and have needy guys hit on me because they think I'm a unicorn - the "hot female gamer" that is going to notice them and give them the attention they crave.
- Some classes are harder to play than others like the "magic blade" which has great looking skill and attack animations, but is one of the hardest classes to play because of his chain skill cooldown, which if not timed properly will break your combo multitasking.
- LOTS of monetization schemes, you would be harder pressed to tell me what isn't monetized vs what is monetized.
The Downright Ugly:
- Either really skilled players, or just paid players, will be able to stun lock you in PvP quite easily until you get a better understanding of the combo system and learn multitasking.
- They have various ways to artificially raise the difficulty even in PvE to incentivize you to spend money. I'm holding out so far, but I don't know how much longer I have before I hit the pay wall.
- There are a lot of items for the in-game shop and I don't know what the value is for any of it. A lot of the daily sign in items and other rewards you get for free in the early game are limited quantity late game content.
