Strong world-building & setting

The game does a solid job of capturing the look and feel of Game of Thrones’s Westeros: the locations, atmosphere, voice acting, and NPCs are praised for immersing you in the universe.

Decent combat & RPG mechanics

For a free-to-play action RPG, the combat is reported as serviceable: you have classes (Knight, Sellsword, Assassin), skill trees, special attacks, parries, dodges, etc.

The story and quests also get positive mentions: the side quests aren’t just filler fetch quests, many are voiced, well-designed.

Accessible free-to-play entry

It being available on mobile/PC with a free (or low cost) entry makes it easy to try and see if you like the style. Some reviewers recommend it especially if you’re a fan of the lore.

This is the biggest complaint by far. Many players feel the game starts fine, but then progression becomes heavily gated behind pay-to-win mechanics, microtransactions, energy or stamina systems, multiple currencies, etc. ]
