Honestly, PvZ 3: evolved is pretty fun. The gameplay feels smooth and satisfying, and the graphics look really nice bright, clean, and definitely an upgrade from the older games.
That said, the story is super basic. It doesn’t really grab you or add much to the experience, which is kind of a shame.
Overall, it’s a good game to play if you’re into PvZ, just don’t expect anything deep storywise.
