Soo i decided too buy and play Rust before making this Review, just too make you understand how dogshit Last Island of Survival [LIoS] is and also as a preparation for Rust Mobile.
Let's start what LIoS does best. [yes, surprisingly LIoS have some positive, altrough very few]
-More Flexible Base Building: In Rust, you have 1 chance too place the cabin. Once is placed is unmovable. Yes, you ear right. You cannot move the cabin, witch lead me too frustration in base building, demanding pre-planing. Also after some time, you cannot demolish part of you base, soo if you need too make some change's, you will take time too fix the mistake.
In LIoS, if you do a mistake or you wanna change something, you can do whitout limitation, making base building less frustraiting and more casual for player's.
-More resources: in Rust, exept for wood, i alway's felt that the game had a lack of natural resources around the map, but in LIoS resources feel't abbundant whenever you go, making a location of where build the base, more easy too pick.
Ok. Positive ended. Now what make's LIoS the worst version of Rust.
-Toxicity by the Badge Sistem: In LIoS, once the timer reach 72h, by an airdrop you will get the Badge, a lowkey leggendary item used too buy peark's or unike blueprint into the game, such as a glider or helicopter blueprint. The Badge alone allowed too breed the worst toxic community i have seen in a game. And i played: Leauge of Legend's, Escape from Tarkov and DayZ. And LIoS make's look all this community combined litterly the most chill and the most friendly.
In Rust. These no Badge. These no final prize. Is just base survival. You got skin by paying or sometimes you get them for free by play the game [but I dont understand how that work's too be fair], leading too raid as a choice, not an obbligation too have more chance's too get the Badge.
[Edit: Also no blueprint locked beyond P2W meccanic's. You can get all you need by just being patient and play the game]
Pay Too Win: Not only that, but the Badge sistem also force people too even spend an insane amount of IRL money too make sure that they have a smil chance too get it, leading too the Pay Too Win stuff, where: "You can obtain 20 badge's too get the Helicopter recepie or... just give us 20 buck's. Your choice :>" for not speaking how skin give extra statistic on your firearm's, like more bullett's or damage, or character's, having bost in life or exp gathering. Is all a mess.
Now Rust. Apparently yes, Rust seemingly have some pay too win skin that give an advantage. Like a torch skin that goes underwater. Or other stuff that i didn't check properly. But is not at the same repulsive lever as LIoS and feel's like you can work arround it whitout paying, witch is impossibile for LIoS.
-Inconsisntent Art-style: If i can describe LIoS skin's are the most similar too "modern Call of Duty" where the art-style and identity is soo heavly fucked that you get pulled back by the game aestetic.
Litterly, we got: Robotic Panther's, Disney Prince's, Demon's, Love and DeepSpace guy's... even fucking BunnyGirl's. Same for gun's, building, and other item's. Is all a clow's circle.
In Rust, skin's and Aestetic feel't, too me, belivible and grounded whit the game setting.
I will show you some skin's too make you understand what im talking about. [Look at posted immage for context]
Graphic's and Gameplay: In Rust, finding a weapon is more easy that you might think, from Bow's, too double barell shootgun's, too knife's, improvised revolver's/pistol's, club's and ecc.... you never felt defensless but at the same time, you never feel safe because of Wildlife and NPC's that guard's the island. Even a simple Bow whit well placed shoot's, can take down an armoured guy whit an AK. You alway's have a chance if you well play your shoot's.
In LIoS? Good luck. You have no chance of fighting back an armoured guy. The crossbow is imprecise and you need too craft it nearby a crafting table too take's some resources for it. In Rust, you can craft it on the fly allong whit the arrow's, and you have different type's of them [however require's the crafting table, but you can use the base just fine for Self-Defence], from simple, too poisoned, too inciendary.
Graphic's... Rust just look's better. LIoS look's like shit even for moder mobile game standard's. Mission Evo looked infinitly better whit less budget.
TLDR: Last Island of Survival is bad. Feel's like they try soo hard too look like Rust but the soul is totaly different. And I hate that Mission Evo, a game that did the concept better, including even better stuff that Rust have have shut down while this game keep's triving too this day.
This game is the definition of "Pig eating slop" meme. And I dont think they will move into Rust mobile because will be too hard for them. And honeslty. Better, let them continue eating slop if they keep praising this game at the same level of Rust.
Im think the game is just shit and not worth anyone time.
