Had this game prioritize actual gameplay and proper animations and made the graphics like a modern anime game instead of retro stylepixel graphic, this would’ve made it on the levels of bleach soul resonance.
Gameplay is surprisingly horrendous for a game that went on a year hiatus to fix its mistakes and the game is painfully repetitive too despite having many mechanics, it eventually comes down to how many buttons do you have to press and how strong did u make ur characters. I hope the SAO IP is picked up by a proper development team in the future and is done justice. SAO in the first place is a game already and its not like its the first in the market. plenty of blueprints and inspirations to pull from and SAO is pretty fairly well built on terms of worldbuild and you can just freeform whatever you may want to add in the game since IF did that. Someone please give justice to SAO games lol memory defrag was one of the greater games this IP has ever produced and somehow thats the one that shut down. a shame really
