AFK Journey isn’t just a sequel to the legendary AFK Arena; it’s a full-scale evolution that attempts to merge the "comfort gaming" of an idle RPG with the sprawling wonder of an open-world adventure. While it mostly succeeds in its aesthetic and tactical ambitions, it remains tethered to the predatory gravity of its monetization.
