---------------------------
Explanation of terms:
Sweet Spot: The optimal position and timing for hitting, delivering the best move effect.
Sour Spot: A less-than-optimal position or timing, resulting in a weaker move effect.
Invincibility: A state where you can be attacked but won’t take damage or suffer negative effects.
Hit Stun: A state where you lose control and cannot perform other actions.
Super Armor: Your actions cannot be interrupted, but you still take damage.
Flash Party is introducing brand-new colorful stickers!
We will gradually expand the hero collection with new colorful stickers through multiple updates. Heroes receiving stickers in this update: Sivi, Kamiki Yuri, Sandy, Tarara.
Additionally, balance adjustments will be made for heroes who shine too brightly in matches as well as those who struggle to perform effectively.
We welcome everyone to continue sharing their opinions and suggestions to make Flash Party even better!
[Sivi]
---------------------------
New Colorful Sticker:
Sky Kick: After detonating the Shockwave Bomb with an up special, perform Sky Kick to drag nearby opponents upward for a rising kick attack.
Bug Fixes:
Adjusted the timeframe for defending after grabbing the ledge and getting back on board, ensuring consistency with other characters.
[Kamiki Yuri]
---------------------------
New Colorful Sticker:
Wind Spirit Iai Slash: When using spirit power to enhance neutral special, hold down the special button to perform a follow-up Fleeing Iai Slash to chase opponents. During flight, tap the special button again to choose the timing of the slash.
[Sandy]
---------------------------
New Colorful Sticker:
Legendary Instant Strike: Each time a certain amount of Knock-out Score (shared with Ultimate Rage Rising Dragon) is accumulated, after grabbing and hitting an opponent, pressing attack or special will execute powerful rapid strikes. This can also be triggered using the command input: attack - attack - forward dash - special - grab, to unleash a hidden ultimate move.
[Tarara]
---------------------------
New colorful sticker:
Cheating Technique: The up special is replaced with Cheating Technique, allowing Tarara to leap into the air using players' wishes, followed by a direct descent. During this period, position can be adjusted by holding the left/right direction.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue in combo control mode where the Tri-force super special could not be executed with a turnaround.
[Mr. 5]
---------------------------
Mr. 5's colorful sticker, Plasma Fog, boasts a slowing effect that proves frustrating for opponents; even minimal contact with the fog results in a full duration of slowdown, making movement increasingly difficult for the opponent.
This update will adjust the activation time and range of Plasma Fog, requiring Mr. 5 to more precisely trap opponents within the fog's radius for the desired effect.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker - Plasma Fog: Damage and slowdown effects will only take effect within the fog's range.
Ground Down Attack: Optimized attack hitbox to reduce cases of dropping combos.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where move grab attack hitboxes failed to target close-range opponents.
[Magician]
---------------------------
Although Magician is an impeder-type hero, they also possess impressive close-combat capabilities. Certain moves' hitboxes and knock-out power rival those of power-house heroes and need some rebalancing.
This update focuses on narrowing the range of Magician's ground up attack, reducing its anti-air functionality and the ability to attack behind, as well as weakening the excessive knock-out power of the up special.
Adjustments:
Ground Up Attack: Reduced attack range.
Up Special: Damage reduced; knock-out power decreased.
Aerial Up Special: Reduced momentum-based knock-out power of the first strike, minimizing cases of immediate knock-outs from the first hit.
Dash Attack: Optimized attack hitbox to reduce cases of dropping combos.
[ICEY]
---------------------------
The adjustment direction for ICEY is clear: the ground up attack’s range greatly exceeds its visual representation, and when used together with the colorful sticker, it excels at combo initiation, resulting in a monotonous attacking style and an inferior experience for both players.
Additionally, the ending lag for fully charged neutral special will be reduced to align more closely with the feel of an uncharged neutral special.
Adjustments:
Ground Up Attack: Reduced attack range.
Neutral Special: Reduced ending lag for full charge execution.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue in combo control mode where the Tri-force super special could not be executed with a turnaround.
[Macalon]
---------------------------
As a standout among Power House characters, Macalon has always been favored by players of all skill levels. In the current environment, not only does this character's strength truly shine, but they can also consistently create oppressive scenarios that turn the tide of matches entirely in their favor. Therefore, some nerfs are necessary.
Adjustments mainly focus on Macalon’s ground [down special], giving opponents more opportunities to escape when knocked down instead of being at their mercy. Additionally, powerful moves like [down aerial] and [backward throw] are being slightly weakened while still retaining some of their strength.
Adjustments:
[Charged Attack]: Sour spot hitbox range reduced.
[Down Aerial]: Slight decrease in active frames; increased ending lag; increased window for severe landing lag.
[Backward Throw]: Slightly reduced damage; lowered knock-out power.
[Ground Down Special]: When knocked down by Earthquake Shock, opponents can now use attacks or Getup Roll to recover.
[Ground Down Attack]: Sour spot detection slightly reduced, making it easier to land hits in the sweet spot.
[Gwynn]
---------------------------
Adventurer Gwynn has gradually shown impressive dominance over time, especially with the help of [Colorful Sticker], which enhances her exceptional mid-range zoning and flexibility, allowing her to handle different situations effortlessly.
Main adjustments focus on two [Colorful Sticker] abilities—[Earthquake Shock] and [Charged Slash]. The changes reduce the zoning range and damage of shockwaves, as well as limit flexibility during [Charged Slash] mix-ups. Also, the landing animation for [down aerial] is optimized to make her easier for opponents to counter.
Adjustments:
[Up Attack]: Added a new visual effect to the first strike, making the attack range easier to identify.
[Down Aerial]: Adjusted landing animation so opponents' ground attacks can hit more reliably.
[Forward Aerial]: Increased landing lag slightly.
[Colorful Sticker - Earthquake Shock]: Reduced shockwave range and damage caused by [down aerial] and [Charged Attack]; slightly decreased duration of [down aerial] shockwave.
[Colorful Sticker - Charged Slash]: During the third ground neutral attack's charge-up phase, delayed timing for activating [side special] and rolling responses.
[Tutu]
---------------------------
After receiving slight adjustments in the previous patch, Tutu remains dominant. This time, further balance changes will limit her overpowered moves while preserving their situational use.
Adjustments:
[Ground Down Attack]: Knock-out angle increased; slightly increased ending lag; reduced horizontal hitbox range; shortened special effect duration to better match actual hitboxes.
[Dash Attack]: Reduced horizontal hitbox range; slightly delayed response timing for dash cancel.
Bug Fixes:
Improved visual effects for ground movement animations.
[Chilli]
---------------------------
Chilli’s [Neutral Special] is central to her mechanics and requires precise timing and positioning for effective use. Currently, even when opponents are prepared to counter her dart attack, they end up easily overwhelmed by subsequent bush-based follow-ups.
This adjustment is a bold attempt, aiming to ensure that once an opponent perfectly blocks her dart attack, they no longer need to worry about the threat of bush follow-ups, potentially enabling more dynamic interactions on both sides.
Adjustments:
[Neutral Special]: Dart disappears when perfectly blocked.
[Back Aerial]: Increased sour spot knock-out power; slightly increased knock-out angle.
Bug Fixes:
Optimized visual effects for chainsaw attacks when hitting the sweet spot.
[Thanatos]
---------------------------
Thanatos has a relatively large attack range, but the stability of some attack hitboxes does not meet expectations. It is necessary to appropriately enhance the stability and practicality of certain moves.
Adjustments:
Ground Up Attack: Slight downward expansion of the front attack hitbox, making it easier to hit low targets.
Aerial Attack: Hitbox optimization makes close-range attacks against opponents more consistent.
Down Aerial: Vertical attack range expanded; push effect optimized, ignoring collision during attack start-up.
[Foxx]
---------------------------
Foxx is supposed to excel at combos and adaptability, creating surprisingly impressive results during battles. However, both aspects need improvement. It is believed that a strengthening adjustment for Foxx will be highly anticipated.
Ground Down Attack needs to enhance the opportunity and stability for initiating combos; the Up Aerial adjustment should be used in combination with fast fall. When landing early during the attack, the opponent will be knocked out to a position that is easier for a good read. It also provides the opportunity to retain the original aerial combo loop with precise fast fall timing, enriching combo routes.
Adjustments:
Ground Down Attack: Slightly shortened start-up lag; shortened interval between the two attack phases; hitbox optimized to reduce cases of combo drops.
Up Aerial: Added landing hit detection. When landing early during the attack, the opponent will be knocked outward, while still maintaining combo potential.
Dash Attack: Slight forward expansion of the attack hitbox.
Down Special: Shortened counter start-up time; slightly increased the hitbox range during counter start-up.
[Alice]
---------------------------
Alice is currently lacking ways to secure a win, as both her damage efficiency and sustained pressure capabilities are insufficient. Her moveset performance requires a comprehensive enhancement, and she will continue to receive attention for further adjustments in the future.
Adjustments:
Ground Up Attack: Increased attack range; slightly shortened ending lag.
Ground Down Attack: Increased damage; adjusted attack angle to better facilitate sustained pursuit.
Dash Attack: Shortened ending lag.
Aerial Attack: Added a sweet spot hitbox during attack start-up, with increased power.
Forward Aerial: Shortened aerial ending lag.
Colorful Sticker - Sharp Scissors: Increased attack range for both phases of scissor strikes.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where certain moves could not perform turnaround ground attacks during ending lag.
Fixed the attack type classification for aerial attacks so that they correctly respond to Normal Sticker bonuses.
Optimized visual effects for Colorful Sticker - Crushing Rock when it hits the sweet spot.
[Cookie & Can]
---------------------------
Similar to Alice, Cookie & Can lack rhythm control for sustained pressure despite the zoning and intimidation abilities of their neutral special Charge Cannon, and their kill options remain relatively straightforward.
At the same time, adjustments were made between Forward Aerial and Up Aerial to ensure a certain level of counterplay while enhancing the kill potential of Up Aerial, allowing highly proficient players the opportunity to eliminate opponents from above.
Adjustments:
Down Attack (grounded): Slightly increased attack duration.
Dash Attack: Increased movement speed at start-up.
Forward Throw: Shortened ending lag.
Down Aerial: Optimized hitbox, making it easier to land a sweet spot.
Up Aerial: Added sweet spot detection above; increased damage; wider hitbox above; reduced hit stun duration for opponents.
Neutral Special: Optimized rotation mechanics in Classic Input mode to prevent accidental activation of side special; improved visual effects for Charge Cannon's execution and impact.
[Cupid]
---------------------------
Issue Fixes:
Fixed an issue where Neutral Special Charge Arrow would not respond to angle adjustments when equipped with Colorful Sticker - Lingering Music and Duet.
Adjusted the time for defensive actions after ledge grab recovery to align with other characters.
[Tina]
---------------------------
Issue Fixes:
Resolved an issue where Forward Aerial and Back Aerial could not be used when canceling aerial moves in certain situations.
[S-17]
---------------------------
Issue Fixes:
Tri-Force: Slightly reduced the duration of the Super Neutral Skill laser beam to better match visual effects.
[Seaya]
---------------------------
Issue Fixes:
Fixed an issue in Classic Input mode where Tri-Force Super Neutral Skill couldn’t be reversed when executed.
[Sophia]
---------------------------
Issue Fixes:
Fixed an issue in Classic Input mode where Tri-Force Super Neutral Skill couldn’t be reversed when executed.
