Hyper Front (formerly 'Project M') is the latest free-to-play 5v5 FPS mobile game from NetEase. The game launched a closed beta test in the Philippines and Malaysia in August, and is now expanding the test to Canada, Brazil, Thailand and Japan. Hyper Front, an FPS title for the mobile gaming audience, has entered the Google Play Store on January 20, 2022 for players in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Initially titled Project M, the game began its beta testing in August 2021. However, soon after its official release, Hyper Front drew criticism for its similarities to Riot Games' popular tactical shooter, Valorant. NetEase Games, a Chinese game development company, is credited with the game's formulation. Hyper Front is described by the developers as a free-to-play 5v5 hero-based FPS game and features 23 different weapons that players can use to engage in tactical combat.
