Honestly, I was intrigued when they called Tower of Fantasy the "Genshin Impact Killer." And when I tried it, I found a rich MMORPG with plenty of action, dynamic gameplay, and a fun story.
It certainly feels like Genshin Impact, and does have a few advantages, such as a faster log-in and loading times. However, I felt it also lacked in some features, including having inferior graphics to Genshin Impact. Unlike Genshin though, this one is an MMORPG, so its multiplayer aspect felt much much better.
Character Customization is great, with lots of options to choose from. As for combat, it's a whole lot better than most mobile game RPGs which heavily rely on auto-combat. Players can move, dodge, attack, and more. Unfortunately, this is still a gacha game where players roll for weapons. The rarer the weapons, the stronger the weapon. And yes, this also means it has a P2W aspect because of this. You can pay to get more of the in-game currency for the gacha system via cash. This means more rolls and more chances to get an SSR weapon. So yeah, P2W indeed.
But is it the "Genshin Killer" like many people say it is? Honestly, too early to tell. Can it compete with Genshin? Yes, I believe it can. I certainly had fun with this one, just as much as Genshin Impact.
