I decided not to write a review until I cleared the main story, which was actually pretty good. I love the mix of art styles for the game, with pixel graphics for gameplay, giving it an old JRPG feel, plus anime art for the rest. The character design is just great, and the anime art is just cute. Overall, the characters are lovely too, showing plenty of personality.
As for gamepley, players roam around just like an old JRPG. And when they run into monsters, it becomes a turn-based battle. Of course, like most mobile games, players can also opt for auto-battle. However, sometimes, I feel that the AI for auto-battle doesn't make too many smart decisions, and have had a few characters knocked out because of these bad AI decisions. Often, I find myself fighting manually in the more important battles.
Like most anime-themed mobile games, Revived Witch also has a gacha system. It's generally a lot more generous than most gacha systems and managed to pull a ton of SSRs. However, there are also a few characters who are much better than SSRs for certain roles.
My only gripe with the game is that after the story mode, not much is left to do but farming. Its post-game is pretty meh. But overall, it's a good game. I just hope they add more to their post-story.
