If I be bold, I would say Slaughter is one of the best story-driven action shooter games I have played so far. In this game, you control Russell—a mercenary imprisoned in a city inhabited by madmen! So you have to clear your way out to find freedom. As you can read from the game summary, the gameplay is really intense, but to me, the gunplay feels empty, and the overall grim atmosphere of fighting hordes of madmen in an abandoned city or prison is genuinely cool. Although, it would be better if they added voice acting for the main character.
Also, the Survival Mode in the game is especially addictive when you first start—there's a real rush from recruiting soldiers and setting up turrets to fend off waves.
Finally, I would say it is one of the hidden gems in the store. And anyone reading this review, I would definitely recommend trying the game once. I believe you won’t be disappointed.
