Games worth discovering
I found this on a different game platform at first with a translated title so when I actually wanted to download it finding it with the untranslated name I didn't know was hard. When I found it on play store I then had to go on a journey of finding which VPN would allow me to download the game since it isn't available in my region; which is hard because if you don't have premium on said VPN the journey becomes significantly harder 😅
Thankfully TapTap came in clutch and we're able to download the game here! Significantly made my life SO MUCH easier and stress free LOL 😆
On the subject of the review tho, It's actually a really good game! The graphics are nice and there are many clothing options to choose from. There are a variety of mini games that comes in the form of Events and there's really never a day where there's nothing going on, meaning more chances of getting clothing + less boredom with doing the same monotonous tasks over and over again every day! (Looking at you Life Makeover but I love you too much to be mad for long 😩)
There's a built in merge game too where it upgrades a house. You don't really get to choose what the decorations are but the game is really generous with energy gift packs so if you love merge games and dress up, besides Hollywood Merge this game is for you!
There's a very obvious translation barrier that I'm experiencing but I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't mind it as much I thought I would! Honestly, once you familiarized yourself with the tabs it becomes auto pilot from then on. I've only ever needed to translate each tab once just to see what it does and how I should do it and it's smooth sailing from there.
The only ones you have to translate frequently are the Events that they host because they LOVE hosting Events that have multiple stages that span multiple weeks, but nothing a quick google translate can't fix.
And it certainly does help that the main event, the CLOTHES ✨ are beautiful to look at! Over the years of reading mangas, manhwas, and manhuas, you really could tell which comic series is from which country usually just from art style alone and this game is full of the classic Chinese style of art. It's full of soft edges and blurry colors, reminds me of watercolor a lot of the time! So most of their clothes are really ethereal and flowy looking, and while they do have sets where it's on the edgier and cooler side; a quick look through their set gallery shows that big, ethereal, and glamorous clothing are their bread and butter and casual clothes slightly fall to the wayside in favor of those.
The only con I can honestly think of besides not having English is the prevalence of Whales in this game! I'm talking about BIG spenders and honestly I don't really care that much since I'm mostly here for the clothes but with all games, Events usually come in ranking systems so F2P players are always the first one to take the brunt of the waves when Whales come to make a splash!
Other than that, a super solid game! I even made a friend there 💜 Even though we talk through 100% google translate LMAO it's always nice to connect with somebody with a game you like!
