Games worth discovering

Gate of Nightmares is basically Square Enix's answer to Genshin Impact. First impression is that the game looks really good, with character design from legendary mangaka Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail) himself. I played it over the New Year weekend and had fun.
Gameplay wise, it is fairly easy to understand, as it has a rock-paper-scissors element type advantage mechanic. Players have a party of three members, each one can field a pet, which I think is awesome. And players can level up their pets too. There is also a stamina bar, which can drain as a character constantly attacks or dodges. This means that players have to be smart when managing their stamina.
As for the gacha, it's OK. Rate is basic, and I did not have much luck in pulling SR characters. As for the negatives, leveling up a character and/or his/her pet can be a chore. Grinding in the higher levels takes quite a long time. Fortunately, playing the story helps in this, but it's still pretty much a chore overall.
As for the game itself, it is overall a great game. Leveling up is a crawl but overall, it's fun. And pets is an excellent mechanic as well.
