[Dev Blog #1] Lil’ ol Torchlight, but infinite!

Kuan here from XD Inc., and I am beyond excited to share a first look into our upcoming Hack & Slash ARPG, Torchlight: Infinite.
Everyone on the game’s development team, including myself, are all passionate fans of ARPGs and we indulged in games like Diablo, Torchlight II, and Path of Exile. While I loved freely exploring vast dungeons, engaging in action-packed combat, and collecting exciting new loot; what drew me to ARPGs the most was the deep strategic gameplay as well as the immersive character progression.

A bit of clarification here: starting with 4 heroes and 6 talent panels (passive skill tress) that makes a total of 24. As for 180+ skills there's a huge chunk of support skills which will make building super fun. I think there might be between 40 & 60 active skills at most out of those 180. BUT considering we get to attach up to 5 support skills to our active skills (not all due to energy limitations tho) it will be more than enough. There are also 4 slots for skill + 1 for the hp potion. 1 will most likely be used for a mobility skill by 90% of the builds. That leas only 3 active skills. Due to the nature of most active skill having 0 cooldown then let's say most people will go for 1 spammable and 2 buff/debuff/utility + 1 mobility skill. add to this hero trait upgrades and pact points and we get a ton of diversity :)
