UPDATE: Well after finishing the main story and moving on to the higher level zones I have to say that the game still has me hooked.
I don't understand the loot complaints at all. There is plenty of inventory space that is upgradable for very cheap so you don't have to constantly go back to town to dump loot.
Even after chests started showing up in the maps I still feel like it's not enough incentives to fully explore each map.
Autoloot function is only working sporadically now that I'm done with the main story.
The character skill and talents customizations is still one of the best features of this game so far. There are so many different options for viable builds that it's really hard to choose what skills to use sometimes.
The endgame maps and mobs are extremely repetitive right now, but seeing as how we're only a short bit into this CBT it's completely understandable.
Once again the bottom line for me is that the game is overall very fun and engaging to play and it keeps me wanting more and more time in game so that's a big win.
I really enjoy the graphics and the controls are very responsive and accurate so 5 stars there so far.
Exploring the whole map really doesn't get you anything except some more mobs to kill so far, so maybe adding in some map events or something like that at some point would be good I think.
The loot is definitely plentiful. It never really feels like my gear is far behind where it needs to be with a few exceptions. For some reason rings and belts seem to be very rare drops compared to other gear, but maybe that's by design?
I have seen many skill description windows where the writing covers the numbers. It seems to be the same description each time "Effectiveness of added damage". See attached screenshot.
The skills and talents so far are the best thing to play around with and find what works and what doesn't. I've tried a few different skills and links combos to see what I like best and I'm really enjoying that entire aspect of the game so far, no complaints there.
In the settings menu there does seem to be an option to turn on an autoloot function, but that doesn't seem to work yet or maybe I'm just an idiot and not doing something right lol.
Great review Balaji. i agree with everything you've said. I'm also playing in Nether which I'm finding fun and challenging. I'm a L54 Time Witness with 12k dps and 3400 survival . i " *think* I've found my ideal build, but there are so many choices to build, that's probably a silly thing to say lol. I love that lots of purple fire essences drop even off trash mobs, which helps alot with crafting, empowering, and enchanting. So far, i havent become even a little bit bored, and i tend to create a new toon this evening. yup. the game is definitely a winner!

Author likedYeah I have already tried out several different builds on my main which is also the Time Witness, but I have also been working on getting the other 3 characters up to running netherrealms so right now my game time is split.

the auto loot works on white and blue gear only. and you have to stop for a minute to let it actually loot for you.

Autoloot only picked up crafting mat drops when I was doing acts 1-3, no gear of any color was picked up by it. Once I started running Nether realms it picks up white and blue gear maybe half the time even when I'm standing still for 30+ seconds it still doesn't work sometimes. Not really a big deal, but I don't think it's working as intended.
