Verdict (★★★★★★★★☆☆)
République stands out from the crowd thanks to its unique mash of genres the developer has incorporated into the game. Telling a captivating story within a mysterious world, the game manages to scratch the same itch as other classic games, but does it with a modern twist. At the same time, République showcases something new that most gamers never knew they wanted.
As much as I appreciate games that are not afraid to dabble in new things, the game is not without its flaws. However, République nails it and provides me with an enjoyable experience.
