For what it's worth, your tolerance for straightforward mechanics determines whether you'd enjoy the gameplay loop in DTW. After all, the narrative is the main appeal, and its quality has been quite impressive.
Still, if you're in it for the love of Disney and visual novels, there're tons to be admired here. What's more, the ingenuity of the art and how the characters look are more than sufficient to make up for its gameplay.
