Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Is Finally Getting an English Release

Square Enix confirmed that the mobile JRPG OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent will be officially out in English on July 27. Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent serves as a prequel to Square Enix's renowned Octopath Traveler, which was released in 2018. Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will feature 64 characters and a new story at launch. Players can explore every possibility to build the right team to engage in the command-style combat. The game also keeps the iconic HD-2D pixel art style and the epic soundtrack composed by Yasunori Nishiki.

OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent will retain its HD-2D graphics, and will mostly operate in the same way as the original on Switch, even if the controls have been adapted in order to be easy to use on smart devices, with the implementation of touch controls and on-rail movement that lets you simply decide the direction you want to move. The story is still set in the continent of Osterra, but several years before the original. That being said, the characters from the Switch version will also appear in some form.
