My Hero Ultra Impact (MYUI) assigns you the task of putting together your very own team and stand bravely against the heinous pursuits of the villains looming ahead.
Graphics (★★★★☆)
✔️ A decent mix of 2D and 3D art style
✔️ Nice character animations
Story (★★★☆☆)
✔️ Recap cinematic is a nice touch
Gameplay (★★★☆☆)
✔️ A mashup of game elements (Idle, turn-based 3v3 combat, RPG game elements)
✔️ Gacha system for characters and memories
✔️ No dupes system
✔️ Auto mode available
✔️ PVP mode is available
❌ Monotonous grinding
❌ Emphasises on monetisation by limiting the number of free gems (especially once you’ve completed the main story quests)
Audio (★★★☆☆)
✔️ Decent soundscape
❌ Nothing spectacular
Verdict (★★★★★★☆☆☆☆)
Although the game may possess decent graphics, MYUI still can’t seem to scratch the itch that I’d love it to. Sure, I may not be a fan of the whole My Hero Academia franchise, but the game doesn’t seem to bring anything new to the table.
Still, if you’re in it for the love of My Hero Academia and idle games, there’re still tons to be admired here. What’s more, the addition of the recap cinematics in the beginning is a nice touch.
