A famous politician and military strategist of the Kai Province during the Warring States Period of Japan. He was a Daibu Daizen with the honorific title Shinano no Kami, and the 17th leader of the Takeda Clan. His personal name was Takeda Harunobu, his childhood name Katsuchiyo, and his pet name Taro. He was later given the Buddhist name Harunobu, and was the eldest son of Takeda Nobutora of the Seiwa Genji lineage.
