On the first day of Genshin Impact’s new event, "Of Drink A-Dreaming" , Diluc, Kaeya, and Rosaria were the first people who rushed to Angel’s Share tavern.
The new event is similar to the indie classic “VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action", where players need to mix various drinks according to the guest’s preferences. If the guests get something they like, they will also reveal their secrets to the player.
Diluc
Diluc will order a drink called Gray Valley Sunset. This is the first drink he practiced when he was in the winery. The base for Gray Valley Sunset is three different fruit juices, very easy for beginners to practice their bartending skills with.
Diluc confesses that his father used to put a whole bunch of ingredients in front of the young Diluc and let him mix them in whatever ways he wanted, but eventually, Diluc only chose to mix the juices because he simply thought they were sweet. Years later, when Diluc picks up this drink again, he realizes he was naive at the time.
This is the first time Diluc mentions his father to the player.
Kaeya
As the Cavalry Captain, who is a little bit too fond of the bottle, Kaeya visits the tavern as soon as it opens. Considering the tavern does not allow rookies to make cocktails, Kaeya decides only to order a cup of Moonlit Alley, a non-alcoholic drink that mixes coffee with milk.
The name of this drink comes from the folklore story of Mondstadt called Dark Alley. It is rumored that a young nobleman from a distinguished family was dissatisfied with the oppression of the people by the royalty and the corrupted system. The young man eventually stole longswords from the family’s treasury and became the Robin Hood of Mondstadt. And the weapons the young man used all ended up in the game's item pool.
Besides the folklore, Kaeya reveals that he likes to test the reactions of strangers while drinking, and that was how he and Rosaria become drinking buddies.
Rosaria
As a Sister of the Church of Favonius, Rosaria always seems a little bit aloof towards anything. Even when she orders, she does not specify what drink she wants, only ‘a tea of some kind’. So as long as the player puts a bit of black tea into the drink, she will love it.
But why does Rosaria like tea? Apparently, she was late for church activities one day, and when she arrived, she found that Barbara had left some snacks and tea for her, and it was then that Rosaria fell in love with the taste of tea.
