The good: Nice graphics, seems to have a long story with a lot to do, can be pretty creepy and reminds me in some ways(of course) of Left 4 Dead and Resident Evil. this is a good thing. character designs are good and attention to graphic detail is nice, but in contrast the environment is not as pretty or detailed.

Areas of improvement:

The name is painfully derivative. left 4 Dead? dead 4 returns? come on now.

The single most difficult aspect of this game is managing the clunky, very horrible mechanics and controls. There is a lurching, very frustrating quality to this aspect of the game and makes it a very difficult game to play sometimes in a not-fun way. this eventually drove me to just stop playing entirely.

the gunplay is not engaging or substantial, for being a zombie shooter I think this is a big deal. The sound effects are not very interesting, the guns feel like airsoft toys and there is no satisfying element or grit to hitting anything. Guns are unrealistically accurate, like a laser.

the story and tasks are not engaging and it feels kindof like an arcade zombie shooter. It is extremely linear. Go to map, shoot zombies that swarm you the same way over and over, fulfill a simple objective with tiny blurbs of backstory. it's been done and it's not very interesting. It would be cool to have much more of a story element to the game. Tasks "kill all the zombies in the area for rewards" just doesn't excite me after I've done it a few times. maybe it's intended to feel like an arcade sort-of shooter which is alright, but it's not for me.

3 stars for potential, great looking characters and boring gameplay and bad controls, bad shooting mechanics and story. Needs some work to be a game I'd play for more than a few days.
