Q: Why is the test being held on TapTap?
A: We chose to host this beta test on TapTap as it grants access to a strong community of dedicated gamers.
Q: What's the format of this closed beta?
A: This is a closed beta test with a limited number of participants. Applicants will be selected at random after completing a required survey. The game will become available to download by selected players once the test period begins on March 30, 2022 at 21:00 PST. The beta will conclude on April 5, 2022 at 21:00 PST.
Q: What content is included in this test?
A: This test version includes 10 songs and 1 DLC pack of 6 additional songs available for purchase. A small section of "Journey Mode" will also be available to explore.
Q: Why are you allowing players to add in-game currency (Stellar Gems) during this test?
A: The ability to buy song packs will continue to be the main source of purchases after Rotaeno launches. We are allowing purchases during the test period to ensure that this experience is just as refined as the rest of the game.
Q: What happens to my purchases at the end of the paid beta?
A: The value of all purchases made during the paid beta test will be added to your account as premium currency (Stellar Gems) at a 1:1 rate upon official release. More details will be shared at a later date.
Q: Is there any benefit to participating in this beta test?
A: All players who participate in this closed beta will qualify for a free copy of the game on TapTap. More details on how to redeem your copy will be shared at a later date.
Q: How do I report the bugs that I find while playing?
A: We will be making posts to collect bugs and feedback on the official TapTap forum after the beta begins. Report your bugs or feedback by replying to these posts so that we can solve your issue as quickly as possible. Please also follow our official Twitter account for the latest Rotaeno news!
Q: Which devices are supported?
A: Rotaeno can be played on most mobile devices, but we recommend playing on devices with Android 9 or newer installed. Due to the game's unique control scheme, please also confirm that your device supports gyroscope features - if unsupported, you will be unable to fully enjoy the game.
Q: What's a gyroscope?
A: A gyroscope, or angular velocity sensor, offers highly accurate detection and data on the rotation and motion of your device. This feature is enabled by default on most smartphones, though some older devices may not include this feature.
Q: On which platforms will the game be available?
A: While the closed beta will be available exclusively through TapTap, the full release of Rotaeno will launch on TapTap, the iOS App Store, and Google Play.
Q: Am I allowed to share screenshots and gameplay videos of Rotaeno on my social channels?
