Before the beta test, let's check out the graphic design of Yggdrasil, the world map in Blade of God II: Orisols!
Yggdrasil is a great creation that connects the realms. It is the root of the universe's circulation. It is also the start and end of the String of Destiny. It is not only the core of the universe but also a barrier that protects the realms.
The legend has it that half of the world was once freezing cold and the other half was extremely hot. At the place the two areas connect, there is a gigantic canyon named Ginunaga and a well. When ice and fire encounter, steam is created. The original life forms are born in the steam. Time flies. Races like Gods, Giants, Dwarfs, and Elves gradually showed up on Yggdrasil. They live in nine different realms called Alfheim, Asgard, Vanaheim, Midgard, Jotunheim, Svartalfheim, Muspellheim, Nifheim, and Helheim.
Before you start your journey, please view the details of the realms, so you won't wander into any dangerous locations.
Alfheim:
A glorious elves realm. It is the residence of light and dark elves. Some say it is a race born on Ymir's body.
Asgard:
The residence of Aesir. Mortals call it the God Realm. Gladsheim, the palace of Odin the God of Thrones, is at the peak of Asgard.
Also, the famous Valhalla sits in the Great Crate. It was once the ark of the gods. The ark was stranded by the darkness spurting out of the crate during a journey so the gods built the famous Valhalla on the ark.
Vanaheim:
The residence of Vanir. It is also called the Holy Vanir Realm. It was once the residence of the Vanir led by Njord, the God of Ocean.
Well of Urd is also called the Wisdom Spring. Some say the giants from the Ancient Kingdom built the Ancient Altar around it. After Odin captured the Ancient Kingdom, he entered the altar and received everything he wished for. After that, he separated the whole area from Jotunheim and exiled it to the ocean of Vanaheim, preventing others from finding it.
Midgard:
The land that has been the residence of human beings for a long time. People of the other realms call it the Mid Earth. The legend has it that a human king once enslaved his people and built a Sky Tower. In the end, people started resisting his tyrannic actions and the gods cursed him. Executers may be able to find it in Midgard. I wonder if they will pity it or respect it.
Svartalfheim:
A kingdom that lies under the ground. It is also called the Dwarfs Realm. The Ginnungagap is right below it. The dwarfs here are cunning and smart. They keep traveling to the Ginnungagap and sell the ores and treasures they brought back to the treasure hunters. If you want to buy the right item for the right price, you need a bit of luck. Also, it depends on if you're patient and keen enough to deal with the short-tempered dwarfs.
Jotunheim:
A freezing kingdom that sits above the Ginnungagap. It is the origin of frost giants so people call it the Giants Realm. Iceborne was once the place where the giants hunted humongous creatures but it ended up being the graveyard for them.
Muspellheim:
A fire kingdom that sits below the Ginnungagap. Due to its scorching and harsh environment, people call it the Fire Realm. Some say Muspellheim is the source of the sun. Odin the God of Thrones once collected resources here to create the stars and the largest ball of flames became the sun.
Nifheim:
Niflheim, the Fog Realm, is a place where the sunlight can never reach. The place is permanently covered by a thick fog and it is separated from other realms. In the Fog Realm, people long for light and consider hope a luxury desire.
Helheim:
The land of the eternal night is permanently shrouded by a dark fog and it is the Dead Realm feared by people. Some say only people who have reached the other side of life can reach it. Umm... To be honest, I think maybe you can try something else if you want to be there."
